I was born in Bolivia and moved here in 1999. Haven't been back since.
Last year a good friend of mine messaged me asking me if I was interested in taking pics for a concert by the Kjarkas. It was obvious I answered "Claro que si!" . Of course!
It was such a privilege to meet them, be back stage with them, hear them practice and take pics of such a wonderful event. They are one of the best groups of Andean Music in South America. They represent my country very well.
Now you may not think you have hear a song of theirs but you would be surprised.
They wrote a song called "LLorando se fue", which is better known as "Lambada". Its the tune Jlo used for her " On the floor" song. Its actually quite successful rhythm and song, many artists have done covers of it or used the melody , including : Don Omar, Wilkins, Juan Ramon, and the most famous Kaoma.
I am very grateful to have joined Bolivia Bella & July Bridges in this event. Thank you so much to them and to every one that made this event possible.
It was such an honor to be there and enjoy the music of where I come from. I got to sing, remember, and dance. That on my book is bliss.
